Moe’s Diner (Almost) World Famous

Moe's Almost World Famous

Driving through Wisconsin on I-94, we stopped for gas in Osseo and came across Moe’s Diner. The signs were so intriguing we almost had to stop there to try it. But it had been a busy weekend and we just wanted to get home. Maybe next time…

Has anyone tried it and can give it a recommendation? Does it live up to its (almost) world famous title?

The sign is all it’s got. Horrible food and service. Our food came out late and burger was still frozen inside. Don’t fall for the “hype”. Not authentic at all.

I always notice that place when driving to Milwaukee to see my parents but have never stopped in. I especially like the giant bull sculpture they have outside.

I really need to check this place out.

If you are at that exit and in need of food, the only option is the Norske Nook in “downtown” Osseo. World’s best pie, and possibly the worlds best hot beef sandwich with gravy.

Nick – I’ve heard of that place…I’ll definitely have to put in on my list to try out! Thanks!

We stopped there last night, at sunset (would have gotten the same picture if we had taken the camera out.) The service was a bit slow, but we liked the chili cheese dog, and ruben sandwich that we got. Thought the slaw was pretty good. Skipped the fries and got a good break on the price. We ordered carryout.

Anyone wanting to rate the food or service at Moe’s is really missing the point of a roadside diner. When you’re hungry, almost anything is great. While you’re waiting on an order or even during your meal, it’s hard not to be fascinated with the 50s memorabilia and all the chrome.
Moe’s is one of those places you’ll remember
